فقد ألّف الشّيخ الدّكتور محمد تقي الدّين بن عبد القادر الهلالي ـ رحمه الله تعالى ـ كتابا نفيسا في التوحيد جمع فيه بين المعقول و المنقول .

وأصل هذا الكتاب ؛ تعليقات على كتاب آخر لمؤلِّف أمريكي اسمه "كريسي مورسن"وهو الرئيس السابق لأكاديمية العلوم بنيويورك و رئيس المعهد الأمريكي لمدينة نيويورك و عضو مدى الحياة في المعهد الأمريكي ببريطانيا، وكتابه الموسوم ب"الإنسان لا يقوم بنفسه "باللغة الإنجليزية،وقد أثبت فيه مؤلفه وجود الله تعالى ووحدانيته بأدلة من العلم الحديث كالفلك و الجيولوجيا والطبيعة و الكيمياء و الطب و علم الأحياء و نحوها ، وهذا ردّا منه على أحد العلماء الغربيين يسمّى "جوليان هكسلي" الذي زعم في كتاب له سماه " الإنسان يقوم بنفسه"،وفيه أن العلم ينكر وجود الله. 

و قد ترجم هذا الكتاب من اللغة الإنجليزية إلى اللغة العربية الأستاذ: محمود صالح الفلكي ، وقبله وزير الأوقاف المصرية سابقا الأستاذ : أحمد حسن الباقوري .

ثم جاء بعدهم الشيخ الدكتور تقي الدّين الهلالي، فأخرج هذا الكتاب القيّم بحلّة جديدة وبعنوان جديد ،معتمدا على نسخة محمود صالح الفلكي ،جامعا فيه رحمه الله تعالى بين الدليل العقلي و الدليل النقلي في إثبات وجود الله تعالى من خلال التعليقات المفندة على كلام كريسي مورسن الذي نجده يوافقه أحيانا على استدلالاته العقلية ويخالفه حينا آخر بما يتعارض رأيه العقلي و الدليل النقلي .
